Vision Tester

About the project

A web implementation for the site owner’s personal use, also available to visitors. Three families of test images with instructions, independent colour inversion and Pixel Tester-style controls. Checks require a window of at least 1024 × 768 with enough room. Acuity charts use ruler-based physical calibration and a measured distance.

Current state

Letters, digits and rings with nominal levels up to 2.0; full chart, three rows or one. An extended 4:1 grid and both contrast polarities for each eye. Every launch requires acknowledgement of the limitations. The tool does not diagnose, rule out disease or replace an ophthalmologist; it has not undergone clinical validation.
